Legal Intern - Spring

Location: Pittston, PA

Benco Dentalis seeking a detail orientated, highly motivated, and talentedLegal Assistant Intern for the Spring semesterwho is interested in learning and experiencing a Corporate Legal environment from a very active Legal Department.

We provide more supply and equipment options than any other full-service distributor; including office design, equipment repair, practice coaching, financing and project management, wealth management and dental-specific technology solutions. These services are supported by over 400 professionally trained sales representatives and 300 factory-trained service technicians.

The Legal Intern will perform a combination of administrative and project-based functions. This position will gain valuable experience in many aspects of the Legal functions including;

  • Perform administrative and clerical functions within the Legal Team
  • Assist with special projects at the direction of the Interim General Counsel and Senior Paralegal
  • Prepare and execute UCC filings with guidance
  • Type, format, send, and file office correspondence
  • Schedule appointments, meetings, travel, and maintains team calendars
  • Register Agents Administration & Annual Reporting Reconciliation
  • Maintenance of Contract Management Systems
  • Record keeping and reporting
  • Legal Request intake forms
  • Process legal billing and attorney rates reconciliations
  • Research and facilitate discovery requests
  • Research statues, laws, rules & regulations

Qualifications:

  • Education: Must be at least 18 years of age and enrolled as a junior, senior or postgraduate student at an accredited college or university in a related field.
  • Experience: Academic focus in legal, paralegal, or business administration with experience in an office environment preferred.
  • Ability to work 15-20 hours per week
  • Utilize Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative and organizational skills
  • Accurate recordkeeping and reporting skills
  • Be highly accountable, resourceful and detail-oriented
  • Strong time-management, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to work under pressure at times and handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion
  • A preferred minimum GPA of 3.0
