Job Summary: This position is responsible for partnering with key stakeholders in identifying, documenting, and consulting on how different components of our architecture are used in a solution to optimally solve for business problems, and to provide a channel between enterprise architecture and application development teams to support our ERP Platform. The Solution Architect Ė ERP / Enterprise Applications, will oversee leading the practice of introducing overall technical vision and validate both tactical and strategic decisions for development teams across our ERP project level work, while assisting in evaluating new/emerging technologies that drive innovation in a changing market. A key deliverable of the role will be to translate business requirements and guide the ERP team in following best practice, and to established reference architectures that make use of current capabilities and align to our future state roadmap.

In order to be successful in this role, the Solution Architect Ė ERP / Enterprise Applications, must have extremely strong collaboration and communication skills to effectively work with and guide business partners and application development teams alike; ultimately driving towards an optimal business outcome. This includes working across teams as a subject matter expert within multiple technology domains and systems, ensuring we solve problems using the most efficient method possible.

Qualifications:

∑ Education: Bachelorís degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline; Masterís degree preferred.

∑ Experience: 7-10+ years of experience in software development / SDLC and domain specific architecture roles within data/integration/etc.., or the equivalent in education and work experience with various technologies and databases (.NET / SQL preferred).

∑ Expert knowledge demonstrated across enterprise systems such as ERP, Datawarehouse/Data Lake concepts and technologies, integration framework / iPaaS, and other large systems.

Skills Needed:∑

∑ Demonstrates the ability to be end-user focused and have the customer experience in mind

∑ Comfortable negotiating, and presenting to IT and business leaders

∑ Experience with large system design and cross-platform applications

∑ Familiar with software development methodologies (Agile/Scrum and Waterfall)

Duties and Responsibilities:

∑ Able to establish credibility with clients, partners, and colleagues

∑ Responsible for assisting in the establishment of an IT Architecture practice, and the adoption of an architecture and standards methodology, roadmaps, and artifacts

∑ Reviews business context for solutions to company challenges as well as defining the vision and requirements for the solution while mitigating risk and reducing technical debt

∑ Accountable for traceability and testability of business requirements as they relate to enterprise architecture alignment and project work

∑ Understanding of UML and standard architecture diagram creation

∑ Identify issues, manage risks, and communicate overall health of strategic initiatives, escalating when necessary; via scorecards or other architecture assessments

∑ Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in an environment with competing priorities
