Position Summary:

This position, reporting to the Director of Enterprise Applications, leads the alignment and vision of Benco’s internal sales enablement tools and process, they oversee the end-to-end delivery and development of our sales experience ensuring that our sales force needs are met with engaging, intuitive experiences and innovative functionality. The Product Owner partners with business units outside of IT, mainly Sales Operations, Sales Management, and Marketing; ensuring Benco solidifies itself as the best and easiest place to work for top sales talent. The Product Owner partners with peers in IT and Sales Operations to maintain an agile development culture and grow iterative and incremental product delivery (MVP), user story definition and testing, automated delivery, and sales force adoption techniques via change management.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for articulating and interpreting the product vision into feature(s) and tactics for sales enablement, and effectively engaging the team members and business stakeholders; ultimately focused on the end-user experience.
  • Partner with the strategic team governing sales enablement and facilitate the execution of the product roadmap, being held accountable for achieving targeted business outcomes including revenue, retention, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive sales enablement growth strategy by leveraging available data to understand and report on performance, and identify opportunities, including gathering competitive intelligence.
  • Develops and leverages internal and external partnerships, collaborates effectively across Sales, Marketing and Operations to maximize attainment of business goals.
  • Motivate and coach an agile development team through all aspects of the software development lifecycle using Lean Startup principles.
  • Translates broad strategy into actionable plans and next steps that can be implemented by individuals or small teams.
  • Manage, track, and communicate project issues and risks, escalating when necessary.
  • Prioritize and execute tasks in a high-priority multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Inspires their team while working hands-on in the team with a collaborative style.

Preferred Experience/Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of agile development methodologies and IT project management.
  • Technical aptitude and familiarity with CRM, reporting/BI concepts, and the applications and process that contribute to the eCommerce path to purchase experience for our sales force.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills including data querying and modeling, with the ability to transform raw data into business insights.
  • Exhibits strong presentation and meeting facilitation skills. Comfortable negotiating with and presenting to IT and business leaders.
  • Strong initiative around maintaining and enhancing both business and technical skills.
  • Able to establish credibility with clients, partners, and colleagues and to influence a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and drive with the ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
