Position Summary:

The Technology Service Technician (CAD/CAM) is focused on servicing, installing, repairing supporting, and performing preventative maintenance in Dental offices along with remote phone support of Benco Dental’s OneVisit solutions. OneVisit includes 3D printing, 3D scanning, digital imaging software, automation milling for medical products, and new emerging dental technologies. This position will also be responsible for servicing, installing, repairing and performing preventative maintenance of dental and associated equipment.

  • Sales knowledge, attention to detail and project management skills
  • Ability to multi-task, have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of CAD/CAM technology or digital restoration process a plus
  • Knowledge of dental laboratory workflow a plus
  • Knowledge of dental anatomy required
  • Knowledge of digital x-ray equipment which should include capturing and enhancing x-rays a plus
  • Clinical experience working in a dental office a plus
  • Bilingual a plus

Do These Responsibilities Interest YOU?

  • On site troubleshooting issues for customers and associates relating to CAD/CAM technology in dentistry, dental software, digital x-ray equipment, and computer hardware
  • · Demo CAD/CAM technology to prospective customers in a virtual and live environment
  • · Configure computer systems with CAD/CAM software
  • · Troubleshoot and document any issues with OneVisit software suite on site and remote
  • · Effectively communicating with the OneVisit Experience team to facilitate installation of software and hardware
  • · Work with vendors to implement any software or equipment updates including any changes that need to be made to the systems Benco offers
  • · Stay current on any CAD/CAM technology Benco is offering or may be in the future through research and attending vendor training classes
  • · Train customer on specific procedures and software involving CAD/CAM equipment
  • · Effectively repairs and performs preventative maintenance on dental and associated equipment.
  • · Troubleshoots and repairs application, network and computer related hardware issues.
  • · Works with manufacturers to efficiently resolve equipment problems.
  • · Effectively assists in installations and perform dental equipment installations upon request.
  • · Maximizes productivity hours by seeking out additional service calls, co-traveling, cold-calling, telephone support, etc.
  • Attending of trade shows and internal meetings will be required
  • Effectively builds/maintains a good working relationship with customers, resulting in high customer satisfaction levels.
  • Completes necessary paperwork such as service job reports service tickets, equipment orders, federal/state x-ray reports, returned goods reports, return authorization numbers, and warranty returns in a timely, accurate manner.
  • Maintains complete and accurate van inventory. Completes two physical van inventories per year with a 98% dollar accuracy.
  • Upkeeps van by assuring that vehicle service is performed at the appropriate intervals and as needed; reports mechanical problems in a timely manner.
  • Operates service van in a safe, responsible manner.
  • Properly utilizes safety personal protective equipment (PPE) (gloves, etc.) to avoid exposure to bloodborne pathogens, radiation, etc. Informs RSVM if PPE is needed or defective.
  • Wears Radiation Monitoring Badge on the job whenever the potential for exposure to radiation exists; Stores badge appropriately (out of sunlight, etc.) during non-working hours to ensure accuracy of badge; Turns in used badge to regional manager in a timely manner (quarterly).
  • Attends regional meetings as scheduled. Contributes actively to the success of the meetings.
  • Will require national travel
  • All job duties and responsibilities are essential functions of the position

Do YOU Meet These Requirements?

  • Education: Associates degree in BioMed Technology or Information Technology
  • Experience: Two years servicing dental equipment or technology support
