Strategic Markets Marketing Manager

Location: Pittston, PA
Business Unit: Marketing

Benco Dental, the largest privately owned, full-service dental distributor in the United States is seeking a Strategic Markets Marketing Manager. This position is responsible for developing relationships with Benco’s Strategic Markets accounts and the key vendors that supply them. The Strategic Markets Marketing Manager will work closely with the Director of Strategic Market sales to ensure that Benco is understanding business issues and delivering value from the Strategic Markets customers’ perspectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Director of Strategic Markets sales and the Strategic Markets Field Directors to ensure that Benco is understanding business issues and delivering value from the Strategic Markets customers’ perspectives
  • Negotiate vendor deals on behalf of Benco’s Strategic Markets accounts
  • Work closely with the Director of Supply Chain and the Purchasing Manager so that Benco has a unified team managing product acquisition costs on behalf of Strategic Markets accounts and Independent Dental Practices (IDPs)
  • Partner with key stakeholders and Business Partners to align on business priorities, and develop strategies and initiatives to drive growth and margin improvements
  • Lead the Strategic Markets RFP Team to deliver winning bids and execute contracts and negotiated prices
  • Oversee vendor billings / chargebacks to “close the loop” on special negotiated vendor deals
  • Set direction, goals and expectations about performance, holds associates accountable for development, and provides appropriate feedback
  • Delegate responsibilities to associates, both to deliver on commitments and to continuously build team members' capabilities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Management, or related curriculum
  • 5+ years of staff management experience
  • Highly-driven, customer-focused B2B marketing professional
  • Experience in negotiating supply chain deals with dental industry manufacturers in support of Strategic Markets accounts
  • Strong business acumen / understands complex markets and situations
  • Ability to solve business problems creatively
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Strong analytical skills that drive improvements in the customer experience
