IT Helpdesk Intern - Spring

Location: Pittston, PA

Benco Dental, is seeking a detail orientated, highly motivated, and talented IT helpdesk Intern for the Spring semester at our Pittston, PA location who is interested in learning and experiencing technical support and assistance in a very active organization.

We provide more supply and equipment options than any other full-service distributor; including office design, equipment repair, practice coaching, financing and project management, wealth management and dental-specific technology solutions. These services are supported by over 400 professionally trained sales representatives and 300 factory-trained service technicians.

The IT Helpdesk Intern will perform a combination of technical assistance and support to Benco associates for network, hardware, and software issues including;

  • Setup, installation, and maintenance of computer systems including software and hardware on desktops and laptops
  • Resolve internet and network access issues
  • Provide network printer support
  • Meet with staff to provide one-on-one technical assistance as needed
  • Determine causes of computer/software/network malfunctions through evaluation/testing and resolving via modifications, repair, or external support assistance

Qualifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled in an Associate or Bachelor program majoring in Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science and/or technical equivalent
  • Minimum cumulative GPA 3.0 or higher
  • Able to work 15-20 hours weekly 
  • Positive, self-motivated individual with high level of enthusiasm and willingness to learn and incorporate coaching and instructions into daily tasks and assignments as an autonomous and rigorous team player
  • Highly organized with critical attention to details
  • Ability and willingness to self-learn new and advanced technical support tools and techniques
