Continuous Improvement Coach - II

Location: Pittston, PA

Benco Dental is currently looking for a Continuous Improvement Coach - Level 2 in Pittston, PA!

As an expert in the areas of continuous improvement, this role leads and supports Benco Continuous Improvement events using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.  Responsibilities include helping with ideation (intake of improvement ideas), leading improvement initiatives across different departments and process owners, continued development of the continuous improvement toolkit, champion of change management, and develop and deliver lean training programs.

What We're Looking For:

  • Education:  Bachelorís degree in Business/related field or equivalent experience 

  • Experience:  Minimum 4 years previous experience leading process change projects related to the implementation and use of Lean/Six Sigma/Process Improvement.  Successful track record of leading complex projects delivering results. 

  • Certifications: Accredited Lean program; Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred. Black belt desired. 

  • Technical Aptitude: Microsoft tools, Visio, Robotic Process Automation a plus (Automation Anywhere, UI Path, etc)

  • Skills needed:  Ability to build strong collaborative business-to-business relationships through a position of influence. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and written; good organizational and project management skills; ability to create a positive team environment.  Ability to handle conflict and provide leadership while being tactful and diplomatic.  Excellent computer and presentation skills.

The Position:

  • Co-shadows and coaches other departments to help generate efficiency ideas.  

  • Conducts targeted process improvement initiatives, working with process owners and project team members through all phases of planning, implementation and control.  

  • Responsible for clarifying scope and ensuring process improvement effort maintains direction and fulfills expectations of sponsors, using charters and other project management tools. 

  • Works with area leaders for all Continuous Improvement activities to ensure that processes are measured, monitored and controlled through Standard work. 

  • Ensures action items from process improvements are completed in an acceptable time frame utilizing project management framework. 

  • Utilizes value stream and process mapping to support business processes as needed.  

  • Works with mentors and functional area leaders to develop Metrics that matter.   

  • Disseminates process improvement methodologies and toolkits throughout the organization via formal and informal training. 

  • Acts as a change agent - deliver the change management framework to ensure support and buy-in for improvement projects 

  • Leverages Lean and Six Sigma, where appropriate, and project management methodologies to identify and generate sustainable efficiencies and expense reduction opportunities that ideally improve the customer and employee experience. 

  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with Senior, Director and Mid-level management in all functional areas to build support of the department. 

  • Inspires and drives the rigor, value and benefits of continuous improvement throughout the organization. 

  • Understands the department's mission; ensure actions support the vision.  

  • Provides strong leadership for Bencoís Continuous Improvement journey. 

  • Identifies best practices within and outside of the company and serves as a conduit for best practice sharing.  

  • Contributes in developing the direction of Bencoís Continuous Improvement program.  

  • Assumes role as project manager on medium to large scope projects.    

  • Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department and company.
