District Equipment Sales Manager

Benco District Equipment Sales Manager:

We are seeking a customer focused dental equipment sales manager for our South District (TX, LA, MS, AL, GA, FL, SC, TN, IN, IL, MO, AR, KS, and OK) who will be responsible for working with Regional Sales Managers (RM's) to manage/grow/execute the equipment pipeline; working with Equipment Specialist (ES’s) to achieve sales results, market share, and customer delight goals for equipment; working with ES’s, RM’s and Director of Sales (DOS’s) to gain market share in assigned districts; assisting in the development of new technology and equipment offerings for our customers; successfully promoting and supporting our CAD/CAM offerings; driving equipment training programs for ES’s and Territory Representatives (TR’s); monitoring equipment sales productivity, customer activity and identifying areas for improvement; interfacing with Marketing to successfully promote equipment with a focus on quarterly promotions.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for delivering equipment and technology growth goals in specified district.
  • Responsible for working with RM’s to manage/grow/execute the equipment pipeline.
  • Equipment Sales & Logistics: Monitor equipment and technology sales efforts, ensuring continuous improvement in sales, profitability & customer satisfaction.
  • Assist RM’s to ensure goals are achieved by ES’s.
  • Coach equipment specialist to achieve sales and profit goals.
  • Communicate regularly with ES’s, RM’s and DOS’s through conference calls & meetings.
  • Assist RM’s in developing a highly skilled equipment sales team by coaching reps to improve problem solving and selling habits.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to successfully promote equipment with a focus on quarterly promotions.
  • Strategic Vision: Communicates Benco's strategy & vision to the assigned ES’s.
  • Market Share: Works with ES’s, RM’s and DOS’s to improve equipment sales results and gain market share.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Develops a culture in which customer satisfaction is encouraged & rewarded.
  • Excellence: Sets high performance standards throughout the equipment specialist sales team.
  • Training: Implements equipment training programs for TR’s and ES’s.
  • Regional Asset Management: Works with the ES’s to reduce the regional equipment inventory and accounts receivable.
  • Recruiting & Hiring: Assists the RM in recruiting the right new people to the Benco team, especially strong performers from competitors, while working within the unearned payroll budget.
  • Meetings: As scheduled, provides an excellent growth experience for all participants.
    • Ensures that all ES’s participate in Benco's National Sales Meeting & any other national training programs.
    • Holds additional meetings via conference call or other means as necessary.
  • Communication: Maintains close, regular communication with ES’s, RM’s, DoS and EC’s.
  • Esprit de Corps: Nurtures a sense of team within the region.
    • Ensures they consistently share “best practices.”
    • Helps them understand they are part of a larger group.
    • Ensures practices & programs are implemented uniformly & consistently.
  • BCI: Leads Benco's Lean journey by participating in Benco BCI events & training when invited.
  • Market Knowledge: Observes implementation of marketing programs & measures competitor activities through field travel.
    • Monitors competitor activity on a regular basis; attends national and regional trade-shows.
    • Co-travels with a TR, ES or service tech at least 12 days per quarter; a report must be filed for each day on the co-travel database.
  • Vendor Relations: Interfaces regularly with key vendor partners; monitors manufacturer co-travel as necessary within region/district.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Business, Communications or related field or equivalent education/experience
  • Experience: Ten years sales/management
  • Skills needed: Ability to manage, coach, train and motivate equipment sales specialist; excellent communication, computer, and customer service skills; strong sales and management background.
  • Ideally will reside or be willing to relocate to the District mentioned above.
