The Continuous Improvement/Lean Six Sigma Black Belt

As an expert in the areas of continuous improvement, the Six Sigma Black Belt leads and supports Benco Continuous Improvement (BCI) events using Lean Six Sigma methodologies.† The right candidate will be responsible for the oversight and employment of the BCI tool kit within various business units to achieve process improvement. †The team member will also mentor and provide Black Belt level support to BCI Leads on projects.††††

The Experience We Are Looking For:

  • Conduct targeted process improvement initiatives, working with process owners and project team members through all phases of planning, implementation and control.
  • Responsible for clarifying scope and ensuring process improvement effort maintains direction and fulfills expectations of sponsors, using charters and other project management tools.
  • Work with area leaders for all Continuous Improvement activities to ensure that processes are measured, monitored and controlled through Standard work.
  • Ensures action items from process improvements are completed in an acceptable time frame utilizing project management framework.
  • Work with functional area leaders to develop Metrics that matter.†
  • Support and mentor other change champions across the business to enhance our Lean culture.
  • Disseminate process improvement methodologies and toolkits throughout the organization via formal and informal training.
  • Acting as a change agent - deliver the change management framework to ensure support and buy-in for improvement projects
  • Leverages Lean Six Sigma, where appropriate, and project management methodologies to identify and generate sustainable efficiencies and expense reduction opportunities that ideally improve the customer and employee experience.
  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with Senior, Director and Mid-level management in all functional areas to build support of BCI.
  • Inspires and drives the rigor, value and benefits of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • Understands the BCI mission; ensure actions support the vision.
  • Provides strong leadership for Bencoís BCI journey.
  • Serves as the expert for utilizing Agile, Lean, and Six Sigma concepts and tools.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelorís degree in Business/related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years previous experience (5 years preferred) leading process change projects related to the implementation and use of Six Sigma/Process Improvement+
  • Accredited Lean program; Six Sigma Black Belt Certification required
  • Project Management Professional PMP designation/certification preferred
  • Successful track record of leading complex projects delivering quantifiable results
  • Proficient in Microsoft tools, Visio, Minitab & Atlassian Suite
